The festival took place June 19, 2010 in Voronezh, Russia.
About the festival:
"ArtField" is an informal, non-profit retro-computing gathering that
happens annually since 2005. The fest is primarily intended for people
interested in home computers made in Russia and abroad in the 1980's.
The festival is one day long, 10:00 till 19:00, free admittance.
Nobody is going to be bored, there is something to be taken away with
for everyone.
The retro exhibition lets the guests to get to know the computers of
old, however unusual they may be with keyboards and monitors of
designs that can rarely be seen today. All old computers are available
for detailed examination. You can find out all about technical details
of the hardware, workflow specifics of the period software, or simply
play old games.
There are competitions and contests taken during the festival. Among
them: completing a 80's game, a creative compo for the best drawing
made on an old computer. People of all ages are welcome for
participation.
Thoroughout the day the big screen shows videos about computers of the
past together with best contest entries from other computer art
festivals.
Second half of the day is taken by the competition on ZX Spectrum and
Commodore 64. All works are written exclusively for ArtField. Guests
can vote for their favourite entries in all nominations: music,
graphics, coding.
Following is a live performance by music and dance troups.
The festival ends with a prizegiving ceremony where the winners are
awarded. A group photo of all participants is taken for good memories.
